This gentleman, “Ron” Tajima has managed a Balance Board hack that manages to defeat the basic purpose of a Roomba’s existence. But, it’s awesome. He’s used the Wii Balance Board’s Bluetooth capability to link it with the poky-slow vacuum-cleaning robot. He steers the Roomba by the direction he leans. We’ve seen a variety of Wii Balance Board hacks over the last few months, but this one has to be the most bizarre yet. One Japanese gentleman has used the Bluetooth capabilities of the Wii Balance Board with this Roomba (a normally-robotic vacuum cleaner) to help perform his household chores. Standing on the Balance Board on one side of the room, he shifts his weight to control the direction of the Roomba. Once his room his tidy, he gets down to some much-deserved Internet browsing.
