I too have had the mower dock, then leave the docking station. I never pursued trying to find out the problem. What I’ve resorted to doing is, when I see the the mower following the wire to the dock, I go out and manually drive it back to the dock. I’ve also had the “front wheel” problem. I figure it’s not happy with the way the front wheel is situated, so I continuously back it out a few feet or a yard or so, then drive it back in until the mower seems happy. I can’t answer all this, but I’ll point out a couple of things. For one thing I’ve noticed that the dock position (and slope) do matter. If your dock isn’t level, or if the mower approaches it at an angle (wheel in a rut,etc) it can hit the bumper before lifting the wheel off the ground. If it hits the bumper first then it doesn’t know the dock from any other obstacle. I’d suggest you make sure that the area immediately in front of the dock doesn’t have a rut where the nose wheel goes. You def

Last week my RL-1000 began exhibiting docking problems. I first noticed it when I walked outside and noticed that my mower had backed itself out of the dock and the display said it had a docking problem. I drove the mower back onto the docking station and it docked and began charging as normal. After the next mowing session the mower would return to the dock. Things are getting back on track! Kali seems to be over her sickness and Ryan slept for 3 hours yesterday morning! (Don’t tell Jessica!) It allowed me to get some things done around the house.
