iRobot Roomba Gearbox Issue?

Someone posted this YouTube Video showing a warped and partially melted gearbox on what appears to be a defective Roomba 570 robot. No one from iRobot has commented on the video as of yet, but I think they absolutely should. If there is an actual design flaw (and not a manufacturing defect on this one poor soul’s machine) they need to fix it.
