Roomba 500 Advice…

Roomba 500 Advice… Submitted by mannkind on Wed, 03/19/2008 - 19:10. in Personal The other day I came across an interesting forum post regarding the pairing, placement, and functionality of the Roomba 500 Series Lighthouses. The forum post is on the iRobot Forums and is a good candidate for a “The Missing Manual for the Roomba 500 Series” book. Recommended reading for any Roomba 500 Series owner.

I Want to Know

How many of you Googled old boyfriends after whatserbucket’s last post?  Raise your hands.   I’m happy to announce that my old boyfriend is now completely bald and happily working in his chosen profession.  He also has a name that is very easy to Google.  My husband, on the other hand, has an old girlfriend with the last name of Smith (or so he tells me).  She is lost forever in cyberspace. How many of you have cleaned your kitchen and bathroom floors obsessively with the touch of a button?

Man shot by killer robot

Killer robot Flickr Photo by: SoulCookie. As much as we in the civilized world like to think we have advanced since the Dark Ages, we are still callous and insensitive to our fellow man. Here is a sad tale of a man who has to resort to robots in order to end his life. It is ironic that robots are now more humane than human beings toward those who cannot abide living any longer. That robots can be more sensitive and kind to us than other humans is perhaps why sex with robots will be more desi

Spring is upon us!

Good morning! The birds are singing, the sun is shining, and tomorrow is the first day of Spring! I’m feeling it! I am doing great with my exercise plan and I’m proud of myself for that. Yesterday I lifted weights in the garage and cleaned house all day, including tearing DD’s room apart from top to bottom, rearranging her furniture, and jumping rope!! I’m so excited that my house is spotlessly clean! I’ve been on a mission lately to clean every day. Its a never ending job when you have a hu

Will be setting up some wire from Lowe’s this week. Will have the mower by next weekend, will let ya’ll know how it goes. Thanks for the help thus far, I am sure I will be a regular here. I agree with what Dan wrote. Here are the measurements anyway. A stake or peg is 5 1/2 inches. The ruler has two marks. The “full” mark is at 18 inches and it is the distance between a hard wall and the wire. The second mark is the “2/3 full” mark at 12 inches for a soft lawn edge. Hope this helps, Gene — In RoboMower@yahoogroups.com, “Dan Barclay” wrote: > > The measured distance in stake lengths is from the “edge” (sidewalk, flower > bed, or wall) to the wire. &

Green Living - The greenest green thumb - Gardening

Good-bye, gas-powered lawnmowers and synthetic fertilizers and pesticides that encourage things to grow by poisoning others. These days when it’s time to go outside to beautify your natural surroundings, you can rely upon eco-advanced products that nature would approve of. Right now an army of a billion worms are munching on garbage in the heart of downtown Trenton, New Jersey, working to produce some of the most potent plant fertilizer available today. Tom Szaky and Jon Beyer hit upon the ide

Yesterday…..

And if you don’t have a Beatles song stuck in your head right now, well, then, you’re un-American.  Or, non-British, I guess.  Or, not a Beatles fan.  Ok, moving on.  Yesterday was a good/bad mail day. I got some mail that completed my tax return preparation.  I eagerly anticipated doing my taxes, seeing as how I got a big ol’  refund last year, and I was hoping to put this money into improving the SLC house a bit before we sold.  Well, this year, I owe money.  Bummer.  I was hoping for a dif
