Roomba 530 Mini-Review
February 18th, 2008 — blog, irobot
After almost two years running my original iRobot Roomba Discovery the poor little guy was starting to look a little worse for wear. iRobot advises that you should clean the brushes and such after no more than three full cleaning cycles, something my Roomba was not always subject to and the results were starting to […]

Knight Rider
February 18th, 2008 — blog, irobot
I’ve watched 28 minutes of the Knight Rider movie off the DVR. I’m 28% more stupider and the only cool parts have been the credits, because the Knight Rider Theme is awesome, and the part in the beginning where the bad guys shoot up the Roomba. Val Kilmer as K.I.T.T. is not bad, though I keep wanting to hear William Daniels. Am I the only one watching this movie?

Oh how I love my iRobot roomba
February 18th, 2008 — blog, irobot
Oh how I love my iRobot roomba One of my friends recently purchased an iRobot Roomba, and he let me test it out while he was out of town. I thoroughly tested out my friend’s Roomba, and was amazed that it was able to do just as good of a job as my existing vacuum at cleaning. The Roomba also has a key advantage over my upright vacuum cleaner in that it could wander under couches, beds and dressers to get dust and debree that had made its way there. I was also overjoyed when I found out that o

Highlights and Lowlights
February 18th, 2008 — blog, irobot
For highlights we first have pumpkin muffin vindication Then we have the arrival of my vacuum filter. I haven’t been able to vacuum in three weeks because S threw out vital parts of the vacuum when emptying the canister. Don’t ask me how. He’s emptied it several times before without incident. I ask him to empty it because it aggravates my dust mite allergy when I do it. It wasn’t too bad living without a vacuum since we don’t have any wall to wall carpet. Just area rugs over wood. But it wa

Play The News
February 18th, 2008 — blog, irobot
Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday. I’ve been sitting around reading the news and getting ready to tackle the coming weeks which will no doubt continue to see volatile trading. This market, not really sure where it wants to go, has been reacting violently both up and down to new data points. You can make a good profit playing off of these news releases if you know what to expect, though keep in mind the reactions can be very short lived. Here are some of the things we have to look forward to

Yard Care Robots Proliferate
February 18th, 2008 — blog, irobot
February is a perfect month to hold the first annual review of robots for Yardeners, if for no other reason than to have something to talk about around the water cooler - the Superbowl is over. Last week I brought you up to date on robotic lawn mowers. There are additional robots on the market that take on other tasks to ease the terrible burden that rests on any yardener’s shoulders. Rake and Shred Leaves - The Frontier Robotics Company (http://www.frontierrobotics.com) offers six robots desi
