The candy and flowers and cards have all been mutually distributed, and we all told each other we love each other, and now RW’s doing dishes and MG’s cleaning her valentine detritus off the couch before the Roomba comes to get it. And me? I’m working on the cover letter for the job application that’s due tomorrow, since my wonderful job ends by fiat of grant expiration in a month and a half and I’ve, you know, gotten into the habit of eating regular meals. Here’s my rough, writer’s-block-beati

Extended warranty service
February 14th, 2008 — blog, irobot
Back in July of 2005, I bought a Roomba from the Home Shopping Network. It was a good price, and it was a model with a firmware that wasn’t yet available anywhere else. The failure was in its charging circuit, which meant that it stopped being able to charge its battery. iRobot sent us a new one, with

To get a sense of this vast evolutionary smorgasbord, nothing beats the annual Westminster Kenn

iRobot Still Hiring At Rapid Clip
February 14th, 2008 — blog, irobot
iRobot continues to add to its fast-growing head count, albeit at a slightly slower pace than a year or so ago, judging by the latest job listings. At last count, there were 29 openings. Growth still seems focused on the government sector, which makes sense given the deep p
